Any individual or company registered according to the law as a subject of entrepreneurial activity in the Republic of Moldova can become a resident of the Free Economic Zone.

The selection of residents is carried out by the Administration on a competitive basis, taking into account the volume and nature of the expected investments, the need to create the productive and non-productive infrastructure of the area, maintaining the orientation of the free zone towards the manufacture of industrial production for export, the territory and the free lands, the provision of labor, water, energy resources and other criteria.

The proposals of the candidates participating in the competition will be submitted to the headquarters of the Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Expo-Business-Chisinau” in șos. Muncești 801 in the municipality of Chisinau, in Romanian.

In accordance with Government Decision no. 1757 of 31.12.2002, candidates submit the application for participation in the competition in Romanian, which will include:

• Request, addressed to the Principal Administrator, regarding the admission of the candidate to the competition;
• Copy of the Registration Extract, issued by the State Registration Chamber;
• Copy of the document for payment of the competition participation fee;
• The investment project or the business plan for 2-3 years of activity, in which the activity will be taken into account under the conditions of the Free Economic Zone;
• Copy of the valid identity document of the administrator or the power of attorney of the person authorized to act on behalf of the candidate in the competition and to sign the legal documents (power of attorney, copy of the identity document of the proxy and the proxy);
• Accounting balance sheet for the last management period
• Confirmation to participate in the development of the territory (infrastructure) of the free zone (as the case may be, depending on the conditions of activity of the potential resident);
• Confirmation of sponsorship
• Confirmation of the space from the owner (for candidates who do not own real estate in the area).

The participation fee for the contest is 1200 EURO. Payment is made in Moldovan lei according to the official exchange rate of the NBM on the day of payment, with rounding up to a whole number. The settlement will be made to the current account of the Free Economic Zone “Expo-Business-Chisinau”:

Depending on the types of activity on the territory of the “Expo-Business-Chisinau” ZAL, the following zonal taxes are established:

a) For the type – industrial production of goods – the zonal tax will be paid in the amount of 0.5 of the net sales volume;
b) For the type – sorting, packaging, marking and other operations with the goods transited through the customs territory of the Republic of Moldova – the zonal tax will be paid in the amount of 0.1 of the net sales volume;
c) For the type – external commercial activity – the zonal tax will be paid in the amount of 0.5 of the volume of net sales;
d) For the type – auxiliary types of activity, such as communal services, storage, construction, public food, etc., necessary to carry out the activities indicated in Law 440/2001 – the zonal tax will be paid in the amount of 0.5 of net sales volume.

Note: If the candidate entered in the competition is not selected as the winner, the participation fee is not refunded.
