The “Expo-Business-Chisinau” Free Entrepreneurship Zone was created in 1995 and has a term of operation until December 28, 2035. The purpose of creating the FEZ “Expo-Business-Chisinau” is to revitalize economic activity and ensure a dynamic and continuous development of the territory by attracting investments, creating new jobs and stimulating the production of export-oriented goods.

Today FEZ “Expo-Business-Chisinau” offers a special opportunity for business development due to its location in close proximity to the capital of the Republic of Moldova, which together with the suburbs provides a labor market of around 900,000 people and a permanent infrastructure development.

According to the available data, 57 residents are active within the FEZ “Expo-Business-Chisinau” who came with investments of 78,28 million US dollars, managing to create 1610 jobs. Activities allowed within the FEZ are: industrial production of goods, sorting of goods transiting the territory of the Republic of Moldova, foreign trade and other auxiliary activities. The main industrial goods manufactured on the territory of FEZ are electrical wiring for the automotive industry, led lighting systems, fiberglass mesh, metal processing, plastic packaging, furniture and others.

The FEZ “Expo-Business-Chişinău” administration is in permanent collaboration with current and potential residents with the aim of improving the necessary conditions for the establishment and development of businesses in the managed territory.
